Subaru took three consecutive WRC manufacturers’ titles from 1995 to 1997, the peak of its rally dominance.1 The Impreza became the benchmark for a generation of rally cars, its blue-and-yellow “555” livery — named for a tobacco sponsor of the era — an enduring symbol of the sport.
